Yeah our birdies have caught on with this industry gossip, although the concerned parties are having a hush-hush blanket over the whole thing….

Buzz is that a story from renowned author Jeffrey Archer’s book will be translated into a film, for which the writer has Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in his mind for the female lead. Besides, ‘Love Aaj Kal’ director Imtiaz Ali is being considered to helm the project.

Sometime ago, Archer was in India to promote his book ‘And Thereby Hangs A Tale’ and it is from this collection a story, titled ‘Caste Off’, has been chosen to make into a film.

Archer believed that the story has everything to be turned it into an ideal Bollywood film and revealed to sources that it's a true story about a couple in Mumbai. It revolves around a Mumbai-based designer Nisha Jamwal and how she met her husband at a traffic signal in Delhi. “It's set in Mumbai and it's a sad story with a happy ending,” said the author who will produce the project.

And for the lead role, guess who Archer feels suitable? Well, it’s none other than Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan!

Well, now we only have to sit ‘cross fingers’ that everything turns up as planned and this hatke jodi comes up on screen…..
